Slide share and podcast helps engage technology advances in teaching. Slide cast allow teachers to have a commitment to ethics and professional competence. With inspiration of student learning and creativity slide cast is a great assessment  in the model digital age of learning. The following podcast was created to help students understand World War 2.

Assignment 8 b

The following project gives students a chance to engage in digital storytelling. The project can be done in group which also let students work toghether. this assignment helps students reflect on cyber bullying and how to make ease of it. The following video was made through windows live and can engage students to technological advances while doing projects like this.

Assignment 10

The concept map is a great way for students who learn visually see pictures and put them together. This learning process helps students  engage on the computer as well as in group atmosphere of learning. The concept map i created would be perfect for a social studies class going over the cold war.


The first site I reviewed was http://nobelprize.org/educational/. This site allowed would be a good site for students to engage on research. The site had plenty of links that students and teachers could use for information. The games on the website were free and very specific on what I need as a educator. This website is a chance for teachers to engage in digital storytelling in a technological age. The second site http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/games Allows teachers to use geography games and helps student learn through computer activities. In a class room or individual setting these games can help students get a better grasp geographic sense of area, which is great for a social studies class.

Wordle

Wordle is a great chance for students to engage on online activities. It promotes critical thinking and creating a word cloud. Students have a chance to use digital technology through communicating and collaborating by using wordle. Wordle a free program is great for teachers to use and be creative with students. Wordle is a perfect program for younger students I believe but can still be used on the high school level.

Wordle allows students to make word clouds. Words clouds can show artistic views of word and have big concepts in them when doing certain projects. On the high school level I would use words clouds to demonstrate what words are appropriate and inappropriate in history and i would tell why.

Voice Thread is a perfect tool to engage in digital age learning. While using voice thread students are learning through creativity which meets ISTE standards. This digital story would be used for a social history class. The story is about war and how destructive it can be to mankind as whole. Being a history teacher I believe it is important to know and understand the past in order to see the world as it is.
